on my part in the proposed cxpctition will be completely out of the question.
Under there Circumstances I be
subrint the following suffection, rig that the Plonists should be called upon to assist in the protection of their
own property, by the temporary formation of a Cops of Plunteers,
a measure adopted in similar Cases of
fficulty
in
Endin, Singapore, and cliewhere,
by which means all grounds of apprehension for the expery of the Colony will be removed, without
the success of the contenislated
Endangering
predition.
